Dear President Biden and Congress,
President Biden recently proposed a $550 billion Build Back Better Act focused on infrastructure, healthcare, economy, climate, and creating jobs. This bill goes big on climate investments creating the grounding for a sustainable future. It is designed to promote longer-term economic and climate recovery and to energize America's clean economic future.
As a person of faith, I encourage you to prioritize the environmental justice initiatives and to respond to the experiences and challenges of environmental justice communities by voting to support the full investments of the Build Back Better priorities. We have a moral responsibility as a nation, and a sacred task as people of faith, to care for our climate and to leave a safe and thriving world for future generations. That’s why we need you to pass the $550 billion in investments that will deliver on climate, justice, jobs, and clean energy.
We must do all we can to pass the $550 billion in investments that will deliver on climate, justice, jobs, and clean energy and protect our health and environment. Virginians need you to make the big, bold, and ambitious investments needed to tackle the climate crisis, achieve true environmental justice, and accelerate the transition to clean energy.
