Each year, Climate in the Pulpits, on the Bimah, in the Minbar commences during the Fall Season [September 1st – November 30th.] The theme for 2023 is Resilience: Cultivating Peace with Nature. We know that our world is suffering; pollution, exploitation of people and resources, and a changing climate full of worsening disasters seem ever looming. But there is hope! Time and again, humanity has found peace in the face of adversity, in our faith, and with one another. It is time to pick one another up and, as people of faith, prioritize our faith tradition teachings to care for the earth and along with our neighbors.
We are pleased to invite faith communities across the commonwealth to participate in Climate in the Pulpits, on the Bimah, in the Minbar 2023! During this time, we encourage faith communities to preach, teach, and act to elevate the importance of being good stewards with and for our neighbors in Creation.
Pastors, rabbis, imams, and all faith and spiritual leaders are invited to schedule worship services, sermons, lessons, and/or a day(s) of action to address and increase awareness of Creation Care, climate, and environmental justice, as well as ignite discussion on how we can all work together for our common home.
