Celebrate Earth Day with VAIPL for an event to center Black connections to Earth and our environment. We will be having a traditional East African coffee ceremony as a part of this celebration to reflect on and discuss community, nature, and belonging. We invite you to attend as we connect with nature and explore the coffee practices of the East African diaspora here in Virginia. There will be three renderings of the ritual at 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM & at 5:00 PM. Join us and get a glimpse of East African culture and engage in a larger conversation about nature, global environmentalism, and pan-Africanism. Enjoy the buna(coffee) and be a part of the community!
